Following applications to Sport England’s Primary Spaces Fund, the Crewkerne and Misterton Federation are thrilled to have been awarded £17,400 to Ashlands Church of England First School and £18,500 to Misterton Church of England First School!   The Fund is investing £18 million of National Lottery funding into just 600 primary schools across the country to provide better equipment and outdoor facilities.

The investments have been used to further transform the schools’ outdoor spaces, creating vibrant multi-activity games areas including traverse climbing walls that can be used both within the curriculum and outside school hours by local communities. These specialist play areas have been designed to give children the space to start enjoying PE and sport, giving young people that crucial positive early experience of getting active and staying healthy.
