We were so very proud of all the children in helping towards the village celebrations of 100 years of peace since the First World War ended.  The children helped make a wreath out of willow with the helping hand of Jo Sadler the local willow artist.  They all made poppies out of tissue paper to decorate the wreath and arch for the Cemetery Chapel.  The older children had been sewing poppies to create a waterfall of poppies which also went on display in the chapel.  It was lovely to see so many children at the chapel and they sang beautifully.  At the end of the service each of the children placed a wooden cross in front of the Beech tree that Rev Morris planted in memory of all the servicemen that were lost during WW1 and 2.
