On Tuesday, Eliza, Emma, Melissa and Chloe W all went to Dillington House for an afternoon of Poetry. The children listened to poems and got to perform the poem they had learnt at school on stage in front of children from other schools. Their reward was juice and Dillington’s delicious cake!
“My favourite bit was getting to make very big bubbles” – Melissa
“I loved the cake” – Emma

SOMERSET LITERACY NETWORK POETRY COMPETITION 2018
It was also a special day for Chloe who received a commended certificate for KS2 for her entry into the Mini Marvels Poetry Competition. We are all very proud of Chloe. This year they had a record number of entries (1, 758!) and the standard was the highest they had ever seen.
