After School Clubs

At Misterton Church of England First School, in partnership with Ashlands Church of England First School, we offer a range of clubs that run after school hours and at lunch times. All clubs finish at 4:30pm, unless otherwise stated.

This half term we have 7 clubs on offer across both Misterton and Ashlands.


Miss Ball runs a lunchtime Choir club for Years 1, 2, 3 and 4, where children learn to sing a range of songs, from a variety of genres and styles. As well as learning different techniques used in choir singing.

Dance – 3.30pm – 4.30pm

This half term Pro Coaching will be offering Dance to all those in Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 on a Wednesday.

Fun With Food – 3.30pm – 4.30pm

Mrs Parry will be running an introduction to cooking on a Wednesday for our Year R, 1, 2, 3 & 4 children.

Netball – 3.30pm – 4.30pm

Miss Wines will be running a Netball Class on a Wednesday for those in Years R, 1, 2, 3, & 4

Cross Country – 3.30pm – 4.30pm

Both Mrs Carter and Miss Ball are looking forward to another term of Cross Country at Ashlands with Years 2, 3 and 4.   There is also the opportunity of taking part in the Yeovil Primary Schools Cross Country Races held in and around Yeovil.

Football- 3.30pm – 4.30pm

We have two football clubs at Ashlands this term. Mr Forsey will be running one for Years 3 and 4 on a Monday and Sarah McDermott will be offering a chance for the Year 1 and 2 children to play on a Tuesday.

Gymnastics – 3.30pm – 4.30pm

Pro Coaching will be at Ashlands on a Thursday offering gymnastics to Years 1, 2, 3 and 4.

If you are attending any of the clubs held at Ashlands, we are happy for you to collect your children at 3pm to get across for the start of the club.
